Are you single? Come tell us your story
Finding Me: A Memoir
The Theme of the night is Finding Me: A Memoir. A memoir essay is a narrative reflection about one's own life. Three storytellers will tell of an event that shaped them into who they are today. After the stories, there will be a 20-minute talk back where you can hear more about the storytellers, their stories, and even ask a few questions if you like. Click here to reserve your spot.

About
We are taking a deep dive into the single life, what it means and what it's like. Come Tell A Story is a platform for people to share their single experiences. Four times a year, storytellers of various backgrounds, religions, and ages will share true, on-theme, family friendly stories that discuss the highs, lows, sorrows, and benefits associated with the single life. We are telling a different story: being single is fun, freeing, and a blessing. After the show, audience members and storytellers receive the opportunity to engage in a 30 minute talkback. If you'd like to tell us your story, shoot us a message on the Connect Page.
Why This Work?
Why not? Did you know that 46% of the US adult population is single? They are saying that this number will continue to grow in the years to come. As someone who has been single for nine years, I quickly noticed the lack of resources for single people (that wasn't a matchmaking service). Over the years, I developed a deep longing for engagement and validation as a single woman. And I wasn't alone in this. I have had numerous conversations with other singles who have a desire for support with where God has them now. Some don't want to get married at all and truly would like to be left alone. In fall of 2022, I began laying the ground work of Come Tell A Story and March of the following year was the first show. It was beautiful. The stories and the conversations were better than I could have imagined.
Come Tell A Story is a space for single people to hear and be heard. We are hear to nourish singleness in all of its forms: divorced, widowed, never married. All of who have a need for community and engagement. Singleness is a blessing. God loves, cares, and provides for the needs of his single children. Whether you have a desire for marriage or are blessed with the gift of singleness, we are happy for you either way. What we want the world to know, is that there isn't anything wrong with being single. In fact, singleness is right.
